Sat Self-Actualization Day

What should be my life’s top priorities?

What do I want my tombstone / obituary to say? What would people actually write today?  How can I make it better?

Morality

What does morality mean to me?

Philosopher Immanuel Kant is often credited as saying, “Act so that your principle of action might safely be made a law for the entire world.”  What is my current principle of action?  Would it make a good law for the entire world to live by?

Are my morals consistent with a good life?

How can I “improve my morals”?

Creativity, spontaneity, problem solving

When was the last time I tried to create something and or creatively solve a problem?  How awesome did it feel?

How can I be more creative and or spontaneous today?

Should I be less creative and or more calculating?  Is my quest for creativity and or spontaneity inadvertently causing me to ignore wisdom that could help me?

What problems can I solve today?  How can I make the world better today?

What innovations can I come up with today?  Tomorrow?

Sir Isaac Newton is often credited as saying, “We stand on the shoulders of giants and we see further”.   How can I use what the giants have learned to see further today?

How can I change the world today?  How should I change it?

If I was a little child and I was going to ask my (all powerful) parents to change the world for me, what would I ask them to change?

How can we change the world?  How should we change the world?

Anticipation

Anticipation often has the power to fill us with excitement and happiness. When was the last time I positively anticipated something?  What could I positively anticipate right now?

Lack of prejudice, acceptance of facts

How can I do a better job of focusing my efforts to fix big problems rather than little ones?

Conversely, should I be spending more time fixing the small stuff?  How can I do a better job of “fixing the devils in the details” or “taking care of the pennies so that the dollars take care of themselves”?

How can I do a better job of seeing the world for what it is?  How can I do a better job of seeing myself for what I am?

How can I do a better job of looking at my problems?

Am I completely honest about my current resolutions?

Am I completely honest with myself about my self-improvement efforts?

How would I like to see myself?

How can I be more honest with myself about what I will need to do to make myself the way I would like to be?

What are my true talents?  What am I naturally good at?  What are my “gifts”?

What attributes do I have that I could put to better use?

What does self-actualization mean to me?

As a state of mind, when was the last time I felt (at least somewhat) self-actualized?  How can I generate more of this this amazing feeling in my life more often?

Who is the most self-actualized person I have ever learned about?  What is it about this person made him/her self-actualized?

How can I better develop and or appreciate these qualities in myself?

What can I do this minute to become more self-actualized?
